Your rug’s edges and borders sustain the most wear. Referred to as “Fringes & Binding” they hold the rug together. Once damaged, the weaving will become undone. Immediate restoration of the binding will stabilize the situation. Decorative fringes can be authentically recreated or a pre-fabricated fringe can be used.
